Our commitment to clinical research for lung cancer

Lung cancer is still the leading cause of cancer death worldwide, and the gap between what we can treat and what we cannot remains wide. Our studies are working on that gap.

~85%

of lung cancers are non-small cell, the group most of our studies address

Our research

What are we studying?

Learn more about our areas of research and see whether one of our clinical trials might be right for you.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)

  • NSCLC accounts for around 85% of lung cancer diagnoses and grows more slowly than the small cell form.
  • Treatment depends on stage and on molecular markers found in the tumour, which is why tissue or blood testing usually comes before a study.
  • Our studies here focus on targeted and immune-based approaches after first-line treatment has stopped working.

Small cell lung cancer (SCLC)

  • SCLC is less common but grows and spreads faster, so treatment usually begins quickly after diagnosis.
  • Most people are diagnosed at the extensive stage, when the cancer has already spread beyond one lung.
  • We are studying combinations intended to extend the time before disease returns.
